If you are wondering how pay per click works and how it can benefit you then read on.
Even well established business find that the pay per click system of getting traffic to their site has the lowest overall costs. Despite many new techniques being available, this type of marketing is still very popular. If you are wondering how pay per click works and how it can benefit you then read on.
The idea behind this is simple; you can advertise your site on another (possibly larger) website that receives a large amount of traffic. Very simply, you will pay the site (that the traffic comes from) a small amount from your account but only providing the visitor stays more than 10 seconds. There are a couple of pints to remember about this: your advert will be related to the subject of the site it is being used on and these sites are generating huge amounts of traffic. Another reason this is a cost efficient process is because you only pay the hosting site when the links are used.
Rather than paying for a month's worth of advertisements that might bring you no clients, here, you will only pay when people notice the advertisement and then go on to your site. In the early days it was often said that a competitor would try to deplete their competitors advertising budget by clicking on their link until they used it up but this rarely happens these days. From a business viewpoint, pay per click marketing is extremely effective at targeting the exact market the business wants. This means that people browsing the site where your advert is placed are already interested in what it is you are offering.
There are a number of these pay per click programs available but it is Google who have captured the market with their Adwords system. Google simply creates your advert every time a term or phrase (which you specify) is searched for online through their search system. The searches that are then made on that term will bring up natural results and paid examples which may show at the side or at the top of the page.
For many advertisers it can just be this simple feat that makes pay per click customers use Google. Many companies use this technique to gauge how good their advertising copy will be before they use it in more expensive areas. This is a simple and easy system to understand that is incredibly powerful and effective at the same time so it is not surprising that almost all companies use pay per click search marketing.
